Picture below from the Kalamaja park near my home. I have never see a sky such a dark shade of blue.
1. Louis CK released a surprise special today. It is hilarious and I laughed till my eyes watered.
2. I read a lecture by Dr. Richard Hamming delivered to graduate students at the Naval Postgrauate School in Monterey, California, on March 28, 1995. The lecture was an introduction to a capstone course called “The Art of Doing Science and Engineering.” There was one quote that really stood out to me:
Now I need to discuss science versus engineering. Science, if you are doing it, you shouldn't know what you're doing. If you know what you're doing, you shouldn't be doing it. Not in science, because science is supposed to be exploration. But you don't know. Engineering. You shouldn't be doing it unless you do know what you're doing.
The whole lecture is worth a read. The transcription is quite poor, but you will get the gist of it.
