When we are learning a skill, we look at the hierarchy existing in that particular domain. Say I am learning to dance. I will look at the most exceptional dancers in the world and make it as a benchmark for me. When I become a decent/average dancer I will still not consider myself exceptional. But apart from being an average dancer, I can be also an average writer, an exceptional speaker and a speaker of two languages.
Point of the matter is:
1. When we are learning a skill we make our benchmark the people who are the top in the skill and that makes us feel that we are not good enough.
2. What we fail to realize that it's the combination of all the small skills and quirks that makes us unique as a content maker.
Hope that rant made some sense.
